Damn well said! I'm so glad someone asked this question, just so it could finally be answered so articulately. Everything you said matters to my wife and I as well. Even the grammar and punctuation comments were hitting the nail right on the head for me! I don't want to offend anyone who doesn't write well, especially in case they never learned. I'd feel snobby if I were to point out all the mistakes in spelling and the sentences written without an apparent ounce of thought. In this forum however, with a question like this asked, it was totally appropriate to offer the advice. I commend you both, and only wish you lived nearer our coast!

I also agree with the answers indicating that the sheer volume of single guys on this site, are a huge drain on their success rates. Maybe the webmasters would offer a way for the single guys, (bi, straight or whatever else you wish to be called) to contribute to a monthly fund (not an automatically recurring charge please) to be used for randomly selected single women and couples each month. Whatever the fund allows for each month, use it to pay that month's dues of the lucky winning members. Then indicate with some type of icon, which single guys contributed each month. Kind of like a single guy funded ladies and couples night at a bar! What does anyone think about that idea? I'm only suggesting perhaps an amount equal to buying someone a drink, so it's not like anyone's going to feel they are being bought or sold, and it would be voluntary of course!

Wow, Jeff. Paying to be noticed seems a bit strange. I think people will hook up with the people they find most desirable and not the people who paid. The "contribution" would have no effect on the success rate of the contributor.

Also, I guess if money would get me what I want then I could just buy it on the hooker's marketplace (wherever that is) and get 100% guarentee. Money in the amount equal to buying someone a drink will not make me more desirable, nor will it make me appreciate the responder any more. In fact, choosing me because I put a few dollers on the table would make me reject their response because of their apparent values.

Your hart is in the right place, Jeff, and I know you're not thinking about paying for a partner. We already paid to join, I think the ladies and couples can pay as well.

Why should I be charged more money and why should my money pay for someone else's account? This is not an exclusive couples site only and I'm not just quest here. I pay just as much as everyone else, in fact I pay more than a lot of other people already as some accounts were created when you were able to purchase a lifetime membership at a one time price. I'm not on here to pay someone else's way nor should my relationship status and gender be singled out to do so either! Why the disparity of treatment?

If some are having trouble meeting people, than they should re-evaluate their own profiles, wants and approach. And just because this is a very open site does not mean it's a quarantee that something will happen or that those we choose to talk to are somehow obligated to some kind of hook up.

As far as what you suggest as "voluntary" the site already has an avenue to do just that, it's the gift certificates that can be purchased for other members.

But to single out one particular gender and sexual preference and their money put in a separate fund to pay for the accounts of couples, couples that they may or may never reach out to is insulting.
