This is perhaps not in the correct forum, and if there is a better place, please feel free to move it for me.

I have sent mail a few times in the last year, that were not delivered to the recipient. When I looked for my sent mail, it did not exist anywhere. I tried to figure out how I could have made a mistake, but cannot find any way except by closing the browser window without hitting send first.

Two days ago, my wife sent mail, and the same thing happened to her! She described how she wrote her message in the "non-detailed reply" box, and hit send. In looking at the conversation and history views for the recipient, this mail does not exist.

Where the heck is all this mail going? I am beginning to think that to be safe, I should be writing and saving my mail to the local machine, and then sending a copy to the recipient.

It's possible if the compose window was open for a long time, that you were automatically logged out, and when you submitted the message, it was lost and you were then logged back in.

This issue will be fixed in the new version of mail I will be releasing soon. In the new version a draft will be automatically saved whenever you pause typing. Sorry for taking so long in replying to you, I have been quite busy building this new version of the site

That sounds awesome! The auto save as draft feature sounds like a great help! Will the draft be saved until either sent or deleted manually? I am set to stay logged in, or is it just auto log in? Whatever it is, this would certainly solve the problem whether or not that is the cause.

Having created and maintaining a small business website, I can appreciate the work you have been doing on this website. However, what you are doing is far more complex and time consuming. The owner of the business to which my website is tied, is not motivated to utilize the true potential of the site. Therefore, I may go months between maintenance sessions. I have no doubt that you rarely go a day without tweaking something, even when you aren't in the middle of a server swap, or complete rebuild.

Thank you for doing the things required to make this an enduring place for us all to thrive! Don't forget to make time to enjoy yourselves too!
