Hi everyone, spring is just around the corner (finally!), I hope everyone is gettin their bike in order and ready for the warm weather. It looks like the first ride for this spring is blessing of the bikes on 5-15-09 to 5-17-09, in Baldwin, MI. This is about 200 miles from my home, approx 2.5 hr ride, in a W to NW direction. If anyone is S or SE of me and would like a place to crash for the nite, lemme know. If anyone has something sooner and wants to go, let me know. I'm up for anything I can possibly schedule!

Autumn has always been my favorite season, too. As much as I sometimes dislike winter, one would think Spring would be my favorite! But, no; it is autumn.

I love the feel of school back in session, leaves turning on the trees and falling and then crunching under my feet; the pungence of the aromas in the country during the season, the farmers bringing in the results of the hard work of spring and summer, and as Delilah said, the preprations for all of the holidays! Now that I've rambled on, I suppose the attraction is the feeling of completion of one part of the year combined with the high expectations of the impending holidays. I love hummingbirds. They are just such amazing creatures. I look forward to them showing up every spring. I keep my feeder filled with sugar water all summer long and of course, plant flowers that will attract them as well. To make a simple sugar water....use 3 cups spring or distilled water to 2 cups of sugar. Boil on the stove until sugar is incorporated...let cool and store in fridge in a glass bottle. I change my water every 3 days in the hot heat of summer to keep the mixture from going rancid.
