There are things in my life that I have never fully explored or totally understood. It is time I looked into those hidden corners to see what lies there. An ideal first meeting in my opinion should be in a public place, and something casual. Over coffee/drinks, lunch, casual dinner are all fine. Neither should feel the need to "outdo" what they are comfortable with. Personally, I am just as comfortable in a high class restaurant as I am at McDonald's. I don't "cruise" the bars, but have no objection to meeting at a nice pub type establishment. Some amount of communication prior to first meeting should take place. Mutually agreed upon ground rules might be a good idea as well. Honest, upfront communication of wants and needs is always a plus.
