Description:
A Little About Me
I get along best with people who have a positive attitude. I've always been good at sitting back and listening to what others have to say. The philosophy I live by is don't judge, protect the weak, and if it harms no one do it. I always try stay true to my personal set of values.
I love to travel. When I'm out driving I like having a friend along who enjoys exploring country backroads.
I like to meet new people so that I can learn something new. However, I'm loyal to my friends and try to be there for them when they need support.
Hobbies
The hobby, although it is changing to semi-professional, I spend most of my time on is photography. I love to take photos of landscapes and ghost towns. However, with the gas prices now I don’t get up to the mountains as much as I would like. I've been working hard on becoming an expert in portrait photography. This would include individual and group photography for normal run-of-the-mill photos as well as glamor and erotic photography. I do have a website describing my photographic philosophy, techniques, projects, and services.
The other hobby I do on a limited basis is multi-media development. Basically, I develop media presentations for people and things that include photos, video, and audio. I really enjoy developing a work of “art” from little bits and pieces.
Leisure Time Activities
I enjoy quiet nights listening to New Age and Jazz.
I like driving in the mountains and take in the beauty of the mountains, trees, streams, lakes, and animals during the drive. This activity goes along with my photography hobby. My favorite drive is Federal Highway 50 from Placerville to South Lake Tahoe and the Mormon Emigrant Road to State Highway 88.
I love tent camping and spending quite time in the mountains or desert just enjoying nature. Hiking and photography go hand-to-hand on these trips. These trips also allow me to experiment with cooking different types of meals. So far I haven't had any complaints about my cooking.
I enjoy helping people when they are having a difficult time or just need help. In most cases I just listen to them without doing anything. I’m sort of like a sounding board for them.
Professional Activities
I am a senior level professional with over twenty years in the software development industry. Right now I consult with companies on how to develop software efficiently and effectively. As a side-line, I also undergraduate and graduate software project management, quality management, process management, and database management systems courses for several local colleges and universities.
As I mentioned above, I'm gradually switching from the consulting business to photography. Hopefully I'll be as successful as a photographer as I have been as a consultant.
Well that's me in a nut shell.
