chefboyardee I have a question for all the panty wearing guys here, and I love you all. Why does our preference, or taste if you want, in underwear subject us to being looked upon, maybe even by ourselves, as sexual fetishists? Does the choice among "normal" men of boxers vs. briefs make one or another group fetishists? Does a woman's choice to wear thongs instead of granny panties make her a fetishist? Having a fetish is a highly charged concept with a negative connotation, both for "normal" people and for the ones who are described that way (us!). Perhaps some of us get excitement from wearing panties and bras because we find it naughty or taboo, because we do it in secret (some of us do I'm sure). Maybe some of us want or need to feel we are doing something wrong. If that's the case, then ok for you. But some of us just prefer it, either because we actually prefer the fit, colors, or fabrics, and some of us feel a little girly and want to dress that way to reinforce our self-image as feminine men, and not necessarily as trans women, or even CDs. ( I find serious CDs,God bless them, to be a whole different animal from we average Joes who like to wear women's underwear, but aren't trying to pass as not men, even if we want to be perceived as somewhat feminine.) I have had a tactile "thing" for the feel of the fabric of women's underwear since I was a boy. I am into my 50th year of marriage to the second of two women, most of which I spent with no success trying to get them to wear sexy underwear for me. A few years ago my wife said, "Why don't you just were it yourself?" I confessed I already had started! And we went from there. She accepts how I like to dress and even enjoys it to a degree, for which I am grateful. I feel lucky when I think of some of you guys who have to be secretive. (Unless you prefer it that way. No judgment.) Anyway, from now on I am going to try to be unashamed of my choice in underwear. I'm not a pervert. I'm not a fetishist. What am I? We need a name that expresses this. Pantyboy, and especially Panty boi, are belittling: we are grown men, not boys, and we are not (just) interested in boys (18+ of course). I think Femme is already taken by the Gay community. Sissy has a whole other set of meanings: we don't (all) want to be dominated. There's noting wrong with any of these, and maybe we want to play these roles sometimes, but it doesn't define us. We are normal, healthy men who prefer to wear underwear (and maybe some other things) typically associated with female attire. What's the acronym for that? I don't know. I have no good ideas, but I'm done being ashamed. I'm going shopping. Please share your ideas. Thanks.
