Getting together as in a date, or as in meeting for the first time? For a date, a movie is a nice centerpiece, it doesn't even have to be a good movie, just as long as it's not porn (I'm not a porn fan). I also like gallery openings, and bars with cosey atmospheres where people can sit and talk. Also, a cafe' is nice. You can learn a lot about a person after their fourth cup of coffee.
