LadyXandra posted about a young boys passing- it remending me of something from our past
here it is
Many years ago max and I use to ride with a motorcycle club (no not the hells angels) in southern California we visited St. Jude's hospital on many occasions. One of those rides we meet an 8 year old boy with terminal cancer of the brain. His last wish was to ride on a motorcycle. We talk to his parents and asked if we could have the honor to give there little boy a ride. It took several days to get everything set up but they finely agreed and the ride was on. the following Saturday we had asked a few friends to bring their kids along and meet up with us. Justin (the little boy) rode with Max, his mom rode with me, and his father rode with another fellow rider. We went to a local restaurant to meet up with some of the other riders. We were shocked to see the whole parking lot filled with riders and their kids from dozens of clubs. I started crying the second I turned off my bike. The club first officer had a small leather vest with the club patch on it and placed it on Justin. We only rode about a mile but the impact it made in so many lives was incredible.
After Justin passed his mom wrote to us. In the letter she said his fondest day was riding with Mr. Motorcycle and "His" motorcycle gang. Justin could not remember our names. We were just Mr. and Mrs. Motorcycle. His mom said until the last days all he would talk about is his ride. Justin's funeral was attended by many of our bike friends and even escorted the procession from the church to the grave site. Justin was buried with his vest on at his request. I cried for weeks after just thinking about how the little things in life can mean so much
Rest in peace my little friend. Here I go crying again

2. Four wheels move the body: two wheels move the soul.
3. I'd rather be riding my motorcycle and thinking about God, than sitting in church thinking about my bike.
4. Life may begin at 30, but it doesn't get real interesting until about 75 mph.
5. Midnight bugs taste just as bad as Noon time bugs.
6. Sometimes it takes a whole tank full of gas before you can think straight.

Hey there, Bill & Patti;

Welcome to the world of "crotch rockets" and the fun they can be. That "'Busa" is one helluva machine. You two are really stylin' in the matching leathers. Congratulations on your purchase. This is only my seventh season of riding, but I am completely hooked. Not only are the Japanese bikes reasonably priced, but you will find they are very reliable, too.

My first bike was a Honda Hawk 650GT. A good learning bike for me. I too had never ridden a motorcycle until I "inherited" the Hawk from my son. He had somehow "lost" his driving and riding privileges in the State of Colorado. Hmm. Wonder how that happened?? Since he needed, shall we say, legal assistance, Dad bailed him out and "bought" the bike from him. It included a helmet and leather jacket, too. I told him that I would take the ABATE motorcycle riders' safety and training course, and if I didn't pass or felt at all insecure with the bike, it was gone. I would sell it.

What a fantastic course that was!! I highly recommend it, or a similar course, to anyone who rides a motorcycle. ABATE offers two courses. One for beginners, which I took, and one for experienced riders. I want to take that one. My training bike was 250ccs. After being "up-close-and-persona l" with that one during training, the jump to MY 650cc Honda was a quantum leap. So, I know how you felt. I did pass the course. That was in April, 1998.

Although I was quite intimidated with the size and speed capability of the Hawk at first, by the end of that riding season, I was more comfortable and joining small groups for rides. Let's "fast-forward&quo t; to 2001, now. As that riding season approached, I was getting "itchy" for something bigger and more powerful. I also wanted a bike that would enable me to go longer distances, possibly on weekend trips. I almost bought a Honda ST-1100 sport-touring bike, but this Kawasaki Ninja 1100 rubbed itself against my leg, purred a little bit, and said "please take me home with you!" I was putty in its seat!!

My ZX-11 is all black with NO graffiti (labels or markings) on it at all. I love it! Although it is a '94 model, it had low miles and was in great condition. In my three years of ownership, I have more than doubled those miles. As with ALL bikes, you have to respect its power. I had never before seen a speedometer that went to 200 mph. I don't intend to find out if it can reach that speed either. My sales rep said it would "only" do about 175 mph. Not goin' there, either!

To all of my biker friends in the BP, enjoy your companion. Keep the shiney side up! Remember, the "four-wheelers&qu ot; out there never see you! And PLEASE, NEVER ride while your judgment and senses have been compromised! Ride safely everyone. Tom

Great job on the web site. This is a service that I am sure many appreciate. As a safe gay male I hope to find some men interested in encounters and maybe a couple or two also. Been a while since I had sex with a woman but always enjoyed it. Have a good new year. Jake.
