Pirates Cove is the local nude beach in Avila Beach area. Also, Sycamore Hot Springs is on the road to Avila Beach and features numerous private outdoor hot tubs built into the hillside.

I really enjoyed the nude beach at San Onofre, CA near Camp Pendleton. I admit that it appeals to both the voyeur in me and the exhibitionist. But swimming and walking nude on the beach feels awesome. And families were very comfortable all bring nude, which was interesting too. Unfortunately, people, mostly men, could not separate nudity ftom sex and there were enough complaints that nudity was banned. It was a family beach. And that was that.

I live in El Centro, which is 1.5 hours south of Palm Springs and 2 hours east of San Diego. Is Marina del Ray in San Diego? I work during the week and only have a few hours to my self in the evenings. However, weekends I try to do some fun stuff. WHen you two go to Palm Springs will you come through El Centro? I am not all that sure of the freeway system here. I have pictures in my profile; don't know if you can see them. Problem in Southern California on the coast is that the crowds have closed a few of the nude beaches and the Christian right are not happy about the rest. All the once naked spots on the coast take a hike to get to. Recently things seems to swinging back as law enforcement has far better things to do. Also love hiking naked in the Dessert. Has anyone ever been to Palm Canyon in Palm Springs.

You know, aside from Blacks beach in San Diego, there really isn't a whole lot in Southern Cali as far as nude beaches go. The spot just south of Point Dume (which is just south of Zuma) isn't a "legal" place. It's a private beach and, although, alot of people do go nude there, I understand you can get ticketed. Santa Barbara also has a nice beach that's legal. I just cant remember the name. Good luck.:)
