We get in contact with someone willing to meet, arrange to go out, and meet them. We hit it off, the conversation comes easily and goes well. We hit it off on a number of topics and feel like we've just been out with old friend(s) when we part. Millie and I agree on the way home that we definitaly wouldn't mind if something happend with them the next time we get together, even though we weren't planning on going that quick, just seeing where it went. After a couple days we've already agreed to meet again in another week or so, and we do. When we get together the second time, things start out much like the first, with dinner. But part way through they drop the hint that they know of a place nearby with decent rooms / their place is nearby and dinner gets finished rather quickly....
Though in all honesty, if it was going well enough the first night....
And driving distances aren't set in stone, plus there's always meeting half-way. Wether or not we can entertain depends on wether or not the kids are home, which is most of time.
