A certain amount of nervousness at the idea of meeting someone for the first time is to be expected on both sides, I think. But we both need to get past that, probably by being able to have a decent conversation first and letting things follow from that as they may. If we can't be comfortable with each other in a casual setting where we're both fully dressed, it's unlikely that we'll be comfortable with each other "later."
