Dear BP Friends,

My female FWB (who I think is the prettiest and sexiest woman in the world!) is considering piercing her nipples and/or clit. She and I would love to hear your honest thoughts regarding the pros and cons.

While any and all information will be greatly appreciated, we're interested in these specific questions:

1. Have you ever regretted piercing either area. If so, why?
2. Have you ever experienced decreased sensitivity after having it done (and it has healed)?
3. Do you think that a straight barbell...or a curved barbell...would be better in the clit, and why?
4. Has anyone ever had such a piercing performed by a doctor instead of the local tattoo/piercing shop?
5. Anything else at all that you would like to share with us that would be helpful in making the decision to do this or not.

This is just my personal opinion...I do not like nipple, cock or vagina piercings. When I am having foreplay with someone, I do not want a mouthful of "metal". If I want to be aggressive I do not want to have to worry about hurting someone, or getting myself pricked by the back of a stud.

Oh well, this is just imho.

Hi! Here's my two cents:


1) I had my nipples pieced for years. I loved them!

2) Yes, there is decreased sensitivity over time. I found that if I took them out for a week or two, the sensitivity would be right back and was intensified when I put them back in.

3) I liked curved barbells or rings for my nipples (they pierced with a curved needle). I've actually heard that piercing the clit can kill the sensitivity. It's better to pierce the hood (right above the clit). This way the barbell/ring constantly hits the clit.

4) I went to my local piercing place. I don't know if I'd be comfortable with my doctor doing it. Just make sure the place has a good reputation and is clean.

5) First off, I liked that little bit of pain...but that's me. At one point I had my barbells out for too long and my left nipple piercing closed up. When I got it redone, the piercer accidentally hit a milk duct. Sadly I ended up taking out the rings and letting the piercings close up because all I could smell was a sour smell from that side. Other than that, I had no problems.

I will give you my opinion. I do have my HOOD pierced which is the skin above my clit and have had it now for 4 years. I absolutely it and have had nothing but wonderful responses from men and women enjoying looking and playing with it. I have no decreased sensitivity if anything it's much more sensitive. I have a curved barbell in it don't want a ring. I will say if she's looking to do this one make sure she does her research because there is a wrong way to do this. Make sure she goes to a good piercer who she is comfortable with because it is VERY personal(on either piercing) make sure they sterilize everything in front of her and use a receiving tube NOT clamps if the needle goes through and nicks the clit she could lose all feelings during sex and so make sure they have the receiving tube(just a plastic tube that goes between the clit and hood so when the needle feeds through it goes in the tube not her clit. I will not lie it was the most painful piercing I've ever had but worth every second of it! Hope I have helped even a little.

A ring pierced in the clit hood vertically seems to work best to produce multiple orgams both when doing the deed, and foreplay- i've had my nips pierced for some time and love it- i realize that some a extremely sensitve nipples- but i suggest they try both piercings to increase intensity and orgasmic multiples!!
