It would be great to have a search engine for the Personals. I wouldn't have found them if I hadn't been looking at the bottom of the Forums page and saw the pagelinks there.
This may alleviate the personal posts in the general discussions area as well.
A Personals heading on the Main Page with a State/Province list (pop-up or whatever it's called) would do the trick.

Maybe put a personals board for overseas members of the site, we are now living in Japan and there is no personals board for us to post on... lol Just a suggestion, I'm not sure how many members here actually live overseas, but I know it would help us out... thanks....

The popular topics list shows you which category a post is in. The recent topics list doesn't and personals posts from couples in Arkansas are highly unlikely to be for me, so I think it would be useful to have two separate lists for recent personals and recent discussions as the latter is really what I'm here for.

I like the idea of deleting the old posts in the personals forums. I just saw one where someone just replied to a post from 2010. I would get rid or any post older than 6 months in the personals section. As long as people know that their post will expire in 6 months they can always come back and repost if they are still looking.

I'm thinking there should be an opportunity to add attractive, thoughtful, bisexual users in the wake of CL closing their personals section. I'm hoping members might make some suggestions. Here's a couple to get started. Feel free to critique, build upon or add your own:

. Buy search term "Craigslist bi" and similar
. Issue press release supporting their decision and pointing out responsible ways of exploring and enjoying adult play exist
. Promote an enhanced limited time trial membership
. Promote way to pay using amex, visa or mc based gift cards for discretion

About 5 years ago I was taking care of my elderly dad in FL for a week or two at a time every month. With my FWB in NY, I got horny and started looking at Craigslist personals (when they had them) and found a guy who wanted to give bj's, no reciprocation.
