The Internet in a way, has diluted this and many other "lifestyles" . Before the Internet, if you went to a club, people most likely found out about the club (or any lifestyle) by word of mouth or swingers magazines. The term "pic collector" came from this era. If you got off your ass and went to a club, it was more than likely a good chance you were looking to play that night. Back then, it was more underground, more intriguing. Now it's anyone with Internet access.

I was fresh out of the service and my wife and I were married just 6 months and never even knew of swinging until one night we were partying with some friends and ended up playing fir the first time. Nowadays 12yr olds and even younger, know more than the avg 25 yr old of the 70's, about what is out there.

More people are exposed and join sites just to live vicariously through others (ne: j/o). When they think they are ready to try, it's "she just got sick" or the old baby sitter excuse. Just wanted to let everyone know club Venus (Swing Club) in Atlanta has a special monthly "bi-night." Usually held on the last Thursday of each month. Nov 19th is the next and it gets pretty steamy. For more info on door fees/ directions go to their web site on the web.
