The reason a priest, pastor, or someone ordained performs the ceremony is because it is God's rule. He created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. No offense, I love everyone, but some things are meant to be for a reason, and this being one of them. You can in the state of California (I live in CA too) have a domestic partner, and you can have the tax breaks as well- (get a CPA) so I really don't understand why the gays' are so upset. We (I) accept people for whom they are, but marriage is another word for husband and wife. Married, living together, significant other, domestic partner, you are still a couple, and people usually get married so that before God they can make a vow to one another, amidst their friends and family. So my advice to gays- Throw a huge party, and stand at the front of your table and announce your love and dedication to one another in front of your friends and family, and make a certificate on your computer with your names on it...and be done with it. It is so much easier than all the paper work of a divorce anyways! I am so tired of hearing about this subject....It is great that people are accepted as being gay, or bi, or tattooed, or pierced, etc. We are all different and unique, and we should focus more on world peace, and loving thy neighbor. This battle to me is stupid. We love u gays out there....you have won the war of coming out and kissing in public...now be happy and live life to the fullest...
