It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to our dear friend Lionessa. Nessa joined the site in 2003, making her one of our earliest and longest standing members. She loved this site and its members from the very beginning, and it showed every day. She was a dear friend to many, a vigilant moderator, a helpful volunteer, and a loving mother and grandmother. In the early days of the site, there were hiccups here and there, but she was always keeping watch, and called me right away whenever there was a problem. She was playful but wise, strict but loving, and loyal to a fault. One year, we flew out to California for a vacation, but made sure to drive out to Sacramento for a surprise visit. I called her, and asked her to look outside. Pattie and I were standing there with flowers, and she invited us in. She was so warm and friendly that she made you want to be a better person. She will be dearly missed.

Here, I include her mail signature one last time, as I think it more fitting now than ever.

My condolences to her family on here and everywhere!
She was amazing and I remember her jokes she wrote, they seemed always to have a twist in them that maybe I didn’t see coming?
She’s where she belongs with the angels now not being held down anymore by her limitations of sickness she’s free !
