kookookachoo	I get a check-up every six months and always include a HIV test. I used to do it quarterly, but i'm not as active as i used to be. I don't test for the other STDs unless there are symptoms (and there haven't been for over twenty years). On HIV, always remember that an episode that may have exposed you may not produce a positive test response for years after same episode. In other words, get tested regularly!! Go online to CVS or Walgreens and order two HIV test kits. Use a credit card that is secure from prying eyes and have the kits delivered to a "safe" address. You and your new friend take a test in each others presence as directed. Mail them to the lab indicated and after a week or so you call the number on the box for results. There are code numbers for each kit that you use on the phone to get the results. Share the codes with your new friend and you can both check each others test. Remember not to have unprotected sex until you get the results. Also remember that HIV does not show in the blood for about ten days, so if you were "busy" last week, wait a while to take the test. In another topic someone suggested that there should be a scale of how bi, gay or straight one was and that we should have a spot on our profile where we could indicate that. I think that is a wonderful idea... and there already is a scale, the Kinsey scale, and a test to see where you fall on that scale. It runs from 0 (being totally str8) to 6 (being totally gay). I fall in at a 2, which I think most guys, who like me, find themselves Bi- curious later in life. The test is not absolute and they even tell you that in the end... that if you feel your score is wrong then it probably is. I feel my results are accurate and that for much of my life I was a 1 on the scale, but then shifted my attitudes towards sex and what I considered taboo and with that my number changed. I don't know if they will allow me to post the link here, but I will try. I don't see why they wouldn't since it is a simple sight to take a test.
