BillnPattie	There really isn't any other viable way to implement instant messaging into a website without a "popup window". For instance, if the instant message opened in the window you are browsing with, then all you would be able to do is talk in the IM, and you'd lose the site. Of course we could develop a proprietary instant messaging software, but then you'd have to rely on people downloading it and installing it. There is one alternative, and I am developing it now. This would mainly use Java to implement instant messging. You would get a notification of an instant message, and when you click it, the IM would open.
