Not sure how much this will apply but family law is a state by state (and I assume province by province issue) but in Massachusetts Gay/Lesbian couples can marry and adopt each other's children.

They can also adopt other children (and it is illegal for adoption agencies to discriminate against Gay/Lesbian couples) Which is why Catholic Charities no longer does adoptions in Massachusetts.

Doesn't answer your question, so let me continue, even in Massachusetts there is absolutely no provision in law for more than 2 parents. And given that one of the arguments against gay marriage was that if you let gays/lesbians marry then the next thing you know 3 or more people will want to get married it is unlikely that that will change anytime soon.

One other thing in most states, the husband of the woman at the time of a child's birth is considered the legal father, and even if DNA shows that is not the true biology, he is still legally the father.

There may be things you can do using contract law and such but you would need to work with an attorney familiar with family law

My honey-bunny learned the truth of my 'bi-ness' very early on.
We met on another site and I can't remember for sure but If not during our on-line communication....then by the 2nd date.
My marriage to my children's Mom ended badly because I was closeted to the one person I should have never been closeted to.
That being said....I risked everything by being so open to my gal...( I promised myself I would never do what I did to the kids Mom ever again).
It's been almost five blissful years since then, We are not married in any traditional sense (fairly meaningless to two atheist that believe it's none of the government business either.
But we are truly doing the 'long run' together forever.

The thing that bothers me is the influx of far-right wing, closeted guys, whether they identify as straight or bi. I know there has always been (inexplicably) a large portion of the swinging community that leans conservative, but increasingly I see guys (and it’s almost always single guys) who seem to be authoritarian and supportive of anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. I posted a simple “happy Pride Month” at the beginning of June and got all kinds of hateful comments from closeted Right-Wing guys complaining about Pride. I’m like, “Dude, if you’re still in the closet, we’re out here being out and proud on your behalf. You don’t get to be a self-hating queer and complain about those of us who are out.”

Swinging and bisexuality are transgressive acts in our society. So is cheating on your wife. But they come on here and get all angry and self-righteous, like we’ve offended their sense of morality.

I don’t get it.
