Well this is just my 2 cents for what its worth...I personally believe the conversation in the chat rooms is meant for the members in there only. Chat is not a place to provide others who choose not to participate entertainment.

Idling in chat after so long gets one booted so just coming in to watch the chat is not something I would suggest.

People do not need to see what is being said in a room before they "take the plunge." The rooms are chat rooms. Chat means talk....you have a room where others gather to talk.

When I go into chat, my intent is set to hold conversations with those in the room. It is not to allow myself to be spied upon by people I do not know who may or may not use what I say to a particular member as basis for them coming into the chat room or not.

Just curious, with the adding of these private chats as the examples above show, what is the purpose of even having "The Lobby"? May as well have a bunch of chat rooms with 2 or 3 people in them all because many members just want a private chat to cyber in or hold a private convo with one or two others anyway? This is what I thought we pretty much already have by allowing members to make their own chat rooms. The only difference is the rooms are open for all if they want to join in. So, what would the difference be besides making the chat rooms by invite only??

i notice the chat rooms and sometimes instant messaging does not work with cell phones. I am using iPhone, but can not chat in chat rooms. I don't even have a home computer anymore. Everything is mobile. Is BP keeping up with the times and demand?
