They have the advantage of being cheap and I have noticed some gradual changes in my body, though not completely sure how much is placebo and how much is real. So the risks are similar to prescription estrogen, but less, because the OTC preps aren't as strong. LolaGets	I'm giggling at some of the confusion. As male to female trangender I just assume it's common knowledge how the change happens. I won't bother with the legal stuff, as it's different from state to state, but in general you must live full time for a specified period before the shrink signs you off. Then you're cleared for the sex reasignment surgery if you so wish. Many of us are happy with hormone replacement therapy alone, so we can keep our little friend.
